Challenge: Fuel theft from Commercial Vehicles & Off-Highway Vehicles is a major challenge for the owners & operators. The fuel pilfered can be to the extent of 15% of the filled volume. Fuel is number one in the list of the operating expenses & losses can have a significant impact on the profitability & viability. This challenge is faced by Fleets / Owners throughout the globe. Many Mechanical & IoT / Electronic Solutions exist. They are typically either expensive to fit / maintain, not robust, do not allow for high-speed filling (80-120 lpm) or provide information post event. This becomes more so a challenge for the Indian Market. Hence, what is required is required is a low cost easily installable device that prevents Fuel Theft.

Solution: Working in collaboration with TISS Ltd of UK, a cost effective & very robust series of Fuel Security Devices was developed for the Indian Market & subsequently was spun off as a JV company, TISS-KGK Security Systems Ltd. More than 70% of the heavy & medium commercial vehicles in India are fitted with Fuel Theft Prevention Products from our JV.

Challenge: Tippers can encounter unsafe conditions while tipping & can cause the vehicle to topple if the driver is not warned & tipping is not stopped. Devices are available in the market which are expensive & time consuming to to install & provide limited functionality. The gap in this safety related segment is the availability of a cost effective & easy to install device would allow this to be fitted in all vehicles.

Solution: The above problem statement was posed to us by a major OE. We created a Tilt Sensor or Inclinometer which provides all the available functionality & additional functionality to alert the driver in vernacular while approaching an unsafe condition during tipping operation. Our unique configuration eliminates a lot of the wiring allowing for quick installation & substantially reducing the cost. This now makes the Inclinometer available for fitment in all price sensitive segments while giving the best-in-class features – which would make the tipping operation safe in all operating conditions.

Challenge: Movement of heavy Loads (weighing 3 tonnes and above) such as Machines, Containers, Parts … can pose significant operational & safety challenges when makeshift available arrangements are used in lieu of overhead cranes, forktrucks … A number of workplaces are not covered by powered material handling facilities making the material movement task unsafe for both Man & Material & time consuming.

Solution: Our Easy-Roll series products provide safe and simple manual & powered material handling solutions for heavy loads suited for all types of floors including epoxy coated floors. Our innovative twist to this segment is the integration of a mechanical lifting device which allows for lift & shift. Differentiated models cater to different load requirements & price points.

Challenge: Considerable welding skill is required to ensure fabrication involving sections are be carried out as per the requirements. In many instances the time required to do the setup prior to welding can significantly more than the actual welding. The absence of robust, cost-effective solutions to address the fixturing & setups, results in high dependence on skilled labour at a time when skilled labour is in short supply.

Solution: Our easy to use, robust, low-cost Welders Angle Clamps address this challenge & ensure quick & consistent welding of sections at right angles or at any other required angle. The innovations in the Welders Angle Clamp series of products, allows them to be interconnected to form a jig to allow more complex fabrication welding. The need for skill to hold the parts in the required orientation is eliminated. Welders can focus on the tack & full welding without worrying about the conformance to the requirements.

Challenge: Micro, Small & Medium scale enterprises (MSME) rely on home-grown or adhoc means to manage business processes / functions which are typically not covered by the ERP. Typical management staff in MSME can spend 30 to 40% of their time on follow-ups, searching for information, validating information & ultimately firefighting. The main reason is the lack of real time information on status of various processes in the company due to the way in which the business process is carried out.

Solution: Our Enterprise Collaboration Work Bench (EnCWB) suite of web-based products from our group company Collabsoft provides a common platform for all team members to work together efficiently & effectively. Required Business Processes are configured based on the company’s operating method (typically as defined in Quality Manual or similar company document).
